The Handmaid's Tale is a book that is based in the distant to near future that displays a dystopian nightmare. The novel by Margaret Atwood, has numerous amount of dystopian elements that affect the society as a whole. These elements involve such things as politics, religion, the environment, and many other subjects that can completely change the norms we have today. These elements, believe it or not, can be found in our society today. While not to the extent or the extreme that the book goes to, these dystopian elements are with us everyday. The elements I keep a focus to in my paper are the religious and political factors that follow us around. You can also see the contrast in environmental dystopias during my Prezi presentation.
